# Quality dashboard and charts: the quality system at a glance, trending charts and periodic reports
The QLogix Q Dashboard is the quality system at a glance: open, in-progress and closed complaints, investigations, CAPAs, change controls, controlled documents, regulatory submissions and batch record reviews, what needs attention, the age and cycle time of records and the records opened each month. Every figure is computed from the records when the page opens, so the dashboard shows them as they stand. Each person also keeps a dashboard of their own indicators, started from a template for their role, with up to twelve pinned charts for routine trending. Generated charts are made from a file, pasted rows, a signal review or a live data feed, and periodic reports build themselves on the cycle you choose and arrive by email with a locked PDF.

## What the module does
- Open records counted across the quality areas, with how many are closed and the share closed, and one tile per area with open against total.
- Eight needs-attention flags, each linking to its list: records open more than 90 days, possible adverse events open, critical investigations open, batches on hold or returned, CAPA actions pending, CAPAs past target date, changes awaiting decision and documents due for review.
- Status by area (not started, in progress, closed), the age of open records (under 30 days, 30 to 90, over 90, the oldest), the cycle time as the median days from creation to signature, area cards with the breakdowns that matter in each area, and records opened per month over the last six months; a period filter and a table view of every figure.
- My dashboard: a page of key process indicators started from a template for the role (laboratory manager, analyst, QC reviewer, quality assurance, production and supply, maintenance and calibration), with widgets from a catalog covering the laboratory, quality and operations; administrators publish a layout as the template for a role.
- Charts from data: upload a CSV, text or Excel file or paste the rows, choose a control chart, line, bar, Pareto, histogram, box plot or scatter, and the AI maps the columns onto the chart and writes its description while every number is computed from the data; the file is read in the browser and not stored.
- Charts from a Q Intelligence answer: attach a file and ask for the chart in plain words; Q Intelligence draws it in the conversation, says what it shows and what to check next, labels its interpretation as such, and the chart can be saved.
- Routine trending: add new results to a saved chart as they come in, refresh a chart made from a signal review from its latest series, or set a data feed from an online CSV, text or Excel file, a Google Sheet shared by link or a read-only query on a PostgreSQL server, refreshed hourly, every six hours, daily or weekly.
- Periodic reports from templates (a monthly quality report, a quarterly environmental monitoring trend report, an annual water system trend report, a weekly equipment or laboratory status) or from scratch: up to eight analyses, a cycle from daily to yearly at your time and time zone, the members who receive it and an optional AI summary.
- Each report run kept with what it was at the time: every analysis opens with charts drawn from its own figures, from the second run a trend of the key figures across the last runs, an email with the summary and the locked PDF of the run attached.

## How it fits the platform
The Q Dashboard reads the same records as the modules that keep them: complaint handling, root cause investigations, CAPA, change control, document control, regulatory submissions and batch record review. My dashboard reaches further, into LIMS samples and their review queue, stability pulls, calibrations, overdue quality work, late sales orders, lots awaiting release and work orders; calibration, the CMMS and the MES keep dashboards of their own in their modules. Every figure is a tile that opens its list and every table links to the record, which is acted on from its own page.
Charts come from Q Intelligence answers, from signal reviews in Signal detection, from files and from data feeds, and FMEAs drafted by Q Intelligence are saved and pinned the same way; a formal, signed FMEA is a Risk assessment record. Periodic reports compute the same summaries the REST API, the MCP server and Q Intelligence read, offering only the analyses of the modules the workspace is licensed for. A record that must be reviewed and signed on a cycle uses its module's own periodic review, and a report written by the AI from a brief, with proposed actions, is a scheduled agent in Q Agent.

## Where people decide
The system computes every figure from the records as they stand and flags what needs attention; the AI maps a file's columns onto a chart, writes its description and, when a report asks for one, a summary of the computed results. People act: each figure opens the list behind it, and the person responsible acts on the record from its own page. Administrators publish role templates and set data feeds, managers set up periodic reports and choose who receives them, and the AI summary is marked as not reviewed by a person.

## Where people decide
- Every figure is computed from the records when the page opens and nothing is stored; acting on a record happens on its own page, by the person responsible for it.
- Charts belong to the organization: the person who saved a chart, or an administrator, changes or archives it, and a save made after someone else's newer change is refused.
- A periodic report changes no record, and its AI summary is marked as not reviewed by a person in the report, the email and the PDF.

## Built to
- ICH Q10 management review and monitoring of process performance and product quality
- EU GMP Chapter 1 management review and product quality review
- 21 CFR 211.180(e) annual review of records
- EU GMP Annex 1 trending of environmental monitoring

## Questions about Q Dashboard and charts

### Where do the dashboard figures come from?

From the records themselves. Every figure is computed from the record listings when the page opens and nothing is stored, so the dashboard always shows the records as they stand. Each figure opens the list behind it, and the table view shows every figure as a table.

### Can each person have their own quality dashboard?

Yes. My dashboard starts from the template for the person's role, or one the administrators published, and can be customized: widgets added from the catalog, removed, moved, resized and renamed. The layout is kept for that person alone, and up to twelve charts can be pinned to the Trending section of the Q Dashboard.

### Can a chart update itself from a live data source?

Yes. Administrators point a saved chart at an online CSV, text or Excel file reachable by https, a Google Sheet shared by link, or a read-only query on a PostgreSQL server, refreshed hourly, every six hours, daily or weekly. The column mapping, limits and lines are kept at every refresh, everyone sees when the chart was last refreshed, and a failed refresh keeps the last data and shows the error.

### Can QLogix send a quarterly environmental monitoring trend report automatically?

Yes, from the quarterly environmental monitoring trend template or a report of your own. It runs on the cycle you choose, starting in the month you choose, and is emailed to the members you tick with the locked PDF attached; the environmental monitoring analysis charts the results per month, the recovery rate per grade and method, the organisms recovered and, when ticked, each point by month as a heat map.

### Is a periodic report a signed GMP record?

No. A periodic report is information for the people who run the quality system: it is computed from the records at the moment of the run, changes no record and is kept with every run. Records that must be reviewed and signed on a cycle use the module's own periodic review.

### How is it licensed?

The Q Dashboard, My dashboard and periodic reports come with every licence; a periodic report offers the analyses of the modules the workspace is licensed for. Generated charts is licensed per user per month, on its own or with other modules, and is part of the Quality Plus, Lab and Manufacturing suites, ordered by purchase order from the client portal. AI use is included in the licence. There is no card payment or self-serve plan.
